As I said in the latest thread in the custom shop I'll see what I can do on Saturday. Even though my wife said it was okay to go I'm conflicted so Friday night is date night come Hades or high water. We get precious few together and need to start enjoying each other's company again without worrying about the kids or even being with friends.

A lot has to happen first. This is a big year for our eldest and we need to get some things taken care of. That includes hiring some help to wrangle the kids up a couple of hours every day. Once that is done I'm hoping to relax on your swing and forget my cares for awhile. Even the drive is cleansing.

It might be a good thing the McJam is a little later in June.

Does anyone else wonder if it will be snowing then, too?

I am seeking unique entertainment for McJam 2015.

Pull out your suggestions and lets see who volunteers for the good stuff.

Imagine this. Ross's wife surfing on the ironing board as he plays Hawaii 5-O music.

Esther's name means "Star of the World." Maybe her parents could let her put on a pair of cool sunglasses as she sings with them. (Her parents are great singers!)

Someone can start making suggestions and let's see what rolls.

Newbies are always welcomed to help bring on a good laugh. This year I am seeking unusual entertainment and less class time.

How about a "parody song" contest? Take an old, familiar tune and write words to it that are funny.

Here's an example, done to the Beach Boys "California Girls":

California Gulls by Jeffrey Moran

Well, herring gulls have pink legs and they have a heavy build.
And the laughing gull with the way they call, and their black wing tips and head.

Black-legged kittiwakes are gulls that nest on seaside cliffs.
And ring-billed gulls with the black on their bills, and their greenish-yellow legs.

I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California gulls.

California gulls winter near the Pacific sea.
And nest in large colonies on northwestern prairies.

I’ve bird watched around the world, and I’ve seen all kinds of gulls.
But I can’t wait to get back to where I see the cutest gulls in the world.

I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California
I wish they all could be California gulls.

I wish they all could be California
(Gulls, gulls, gulls, yeah I dig the . . .)
I wish they all could be California
(Gulls, gulls, gulls, yeah I dig the . . .)
I wish they all could be California gulls.

Bruce and Steve might be able to come up with songs, too. The evening hours will be great when the gang can have a few belly laughs.

Steve made up a song a few years ago. It was fun and no offense was taken.

Of course classes are always welcome.

Clif,
Yesssssssss, of course we will enjoy sharing June 19 and 20 weekend with you.

YOU ARE IN!

The following is information for all to view:

*** I need your name and your AGF ID if you have one, updated home and email addresses. Please include phone number.

*** Non-refundable payment must be received no later than the first week of June. $20 per day - per person. With that we supply food for both days, door prizes so everyone will walk away with something and we supply a clean fresh port pot.

*** We have a great crew of volunteers who spend their hours making sure we do not starve during the weekend.

*** Each attendee is invited to bring a door prize which makes prize time more fun. This can also reduce your entry fee by half! The item does NOT have to be musical related. It can be something you already have that is gently used. All door prizes are displayed on the table for all to see in advance. All items are always "G" rated. If you have a craft or own a business please DO feel free to set free items on the door prize table. It's a great conversation piece in advance. Not to mention it is a free ad for you!

*** Red t-shirts are worn on Friday. Black shirts on Saturday.

*** I need to know your size t-shirt so I can set it aside for you. You can change into it once you are here.

*** Polish up your fun song real good. Only "G-rated" songs are permitted. (Thanks)

*** Motels: Marion is 10 miles; Bucyrus and Upper Sandusky are 25 miles. (The town of Upper Sandusky is not to be confused with the city of Sandusky.)

Due to graduation parties, events in Delaware, Ohio, etc... please reserve your motel room(s) in advance.

*** Bring your own favorite guitar. You are welcome to play it. Others will enjoy it, too.

*** If you see a McKnight guitar you are interested in please speak to Tim abut details. Tim has been known to offer a little discount on spec guitars during McJams .

Q: "Where is the fun shopping?"
A: "Columbus Polaris Mall is 50 - 60 miles south of us. Other than that we have nothing."

I will send more information per e-mails.

I just noticed we have 3 Steves coming to McJam 2015.

If newbies do not know names they can just call the guys Steve. They will be right sooner or later.

I have two gigs on the 19th, but the 20th is open. I'm about an hour south of Marion. So, what happens on Saturday?
