Clearly OP's tuning contains the fifth, I was just saying you don't have to have both the 3rd and the 5th to have a useful tuning.

Nothing worse than obsolete chords. Throw 'em out after a year or two. Or play a vintage guitar. I understand an E7 in the 5th position still sounds pretty good if the guitar is a pre-war herringbone (good reason to buy one).

The main reason I like the complete triad (CGCGCE) is for the rich open chord. Not that I'm lazy, but there was a time when simply barre-ing looked pretty good compared to using all those fingers.

If anyone really wants a copy of my homemade chord booklet for CGCGCE, send me a PM with an address and I'll try to get it to you. If more than a few folks want one, I'll scan it and email.
