Rose of Allendale
I'm searching for an intermediate finger style solo of the Rose of Allendale. Any recommendations?

Have you seen this?
https://musescore.com/user/47854/scores/95325 It uses chords I wouldn't and might be more than intermediate but it is free. It's in the key of C And the first part at least is mostly in first position. It's notation, not tab, but you can play it and hear how it's supposed to sound. |

Martin Simpson sells the music/tab for his arrangement of the tune on his website.
It's in dropped D, and not complicated to play. Kym |

Try this:
http://www.watershed-arts.com/rose.pdf I went through it a bit while listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZvnSKgLYKI Just an occasional missed note (e.g. in measure 8) or "could be better" fingering in the tab which makes things a bit harder to play than necessary.

Thanks, Derek, for posting that free version. Here is an analysis of the transcription by the guy who transcribed it. Many might be able to discern these things just by listening, but I found his explication interesting.
