Seriously.......I agree with capbolting.

It's all in the slogan. You need a slogan contest.

Beautiful guitar, Woody.

As a tribute to your home state, I suggest the Brackett "Carolina."

Forget about a name altogether, just go with a symbol...like that guy with all the Grammy Awards that used to call himself Prince.
Hey I like this. It could the the "Guitar formerly known as expensive"

"Estudio" is a term associated with a simple exercise for classical guitar students, but I like it in this context too.

Whatever you choose to call it, it's a sweet looking instrument!

I like the idea of student model. However to spice up the word 'student' maybe the word 'Protégé' So the Protégé model.

Yeah, there you go, Woody. This one made me laugh.
The "symbol" would be a dollar sign with a red line through it.

In all seriousness, though, I too agree with Keith.
Don't insinuate at all that this is a "cheap" guitar.

I have to disagree with this, I think a name that shows it's an economy guitar will bring in a whole different breed of player, a player that would not even consider a custom build, but when they see a name insinuating economy built that will at least give them reason to further investigate ........

What does Martin call those Formica® guitars?

I thought BMW called theirs "Mini," and Mercedes used to call them "Chrysler."

HPL=Formica! LOL

C230 E350 S550 that kind of thing. Those are separate lines. The C230 or whatever it is....is barely a Mercedes if you ask me, but it is nonetheless.

Me thinks not... then again, I am not the guru of consumer behavior so I have been known to be wrong on occasion.... I just don't believe in this sitation.

The work economy makes MANY people think it is cheaply made. Johnson & Murphy has $69 shoes and $369 shoes and they are all Johnson & Murphy shoes... just different models.

If you called it an $1850 handbuilt guitar, my many peoples standards that would not be economical by any measure. In the world of handbuilts, we know that it is.

I realize terms are relative, but generally speaking, the words "student" or "economy" with a price tag of $1850 just doesn't compute in my mind.

I am well aware that in the world of handbuilt guitars and what the skilled craftsman actually makes at that price, $1850 isn't much money at all!

I agree with Keith that any name thats reflective of price indication can have its negative psychological effects when advertised as so. People don't want to think they're buying something nice as a handbuilt as a 'budget' model. It'd be better to call it something akin to a 'no frills' or workhorse guitar that simply lacks fancier appointments of the upper end models. I think there's a fair amount of people who do like and appreciate a very simple and understated guitar with no bling, and would love to get one at a reasonable price while still having the allure of a hand made guitar.
