You guys have a very clean look to your guitars, but when you look at the detail it is subtle yet very elegant. Like your rosette, it could be very over-done but it is really smart looking and draws the eye nicely. I would be very happy indeed to be the owner myself.

Wow Paul.. that is looking amazing. I may well become a customer of yours, I love your headstock and bridge styles (it's a very important aesthetic of the guitar for me). I'm gonna be needing a bevel armrest though... no hurry ... keep honing those skills .

Bong.

Those guitars look very nice and cleanly built. Very olson ~ ish if you ask me with the asthetics. Love the 5 piece neck and back veneer with the sharp cutaway.

I'm seeing a lot of walnut and redwood as of late. That combo looks great.

Joe White just sent us some photos of the final finish work on the guitar.

This is exciting to see. This means he'll be shipping it back to us in the next couple days so we can do the final steps and get the guitar strung up soon.

We love this part!

Here's some of what he sent us.

I have to say 'This is so nice!'. The curvature of every detail and turn appeals to me. If I were in the market I'd put down my order w/o hesitation.

Paul and Kyle, that looks beautiful. Is that the same redwood you used in the previous build that was reviewed here? Love it...

Looking good! An electronic pat on the back to the builders! Congratulations to you both!

Very nice! J.R. was not very nice when he created this Custom Shop section.... I'm sure I'm not the only member wanting to plunk down money on a custom build or a wood working shed. My wallet is crying. Amazing pics! Keep up the great work.

Berf,

No, this is not the same Redwood. This is a set of Sinker Redwood that we obtained from one of our favorite wood vendors - RC Tonewoods. Bob Cefalu (owner) has amazing wood and we have a hard time keeping our money in our pockets when we see what he has to offer.

All the best!

The guitar is looking fantastic! I really like the walnut grain and the redwood is a beautiful contrast to the back/sides. I can't wait to see more!

We have (finally) finished the Claro Walnut / Sinker Redwood LS guitar and recently shipped it to the customer in Singapore. He should have "Miss Wally" soon and we're very excited for him.

Recap of the specs:

LS Model (15" lower bout)
Claro Walnut sides and back
Sinker Redwood from RC Tonewoods
Florentine cutaway (our first)
Abalone binding (Zipflex from Kevin Ryan)
Myrtle Burl rosette with Abalone inset
Ebony binding, fingerboard, headstock overlay, end wedge and heel cap
5-ply neck (Mahogany/Tiger Maple/Walnut/Tiger Maple/Mahogany)
Gotoh 510 tuners with Ebony looking buttons
Ameritage case

I was able to borrow a wonderful Nikon D300 camera from my friend Norm who posts here on AGF, so I could take some photos before shipping the guitar. Here are some of my favorites.

We keep learning and growing with each guitar - and we take each new build with a sense of excitement and the challenge to increase our skills.
