My favorite strings...Oasis composite normal tension. Great sound, bright and they last. My second fav are the Savarez composite strings. Be aware that when you go to high tension it is tougher to play, but high tension strings are divine!

Thank you all for the suggestions and ideas. I have the D'addarios on my Motif and like them fine. I ordered some GHS Muriel Andersons and will put them on the Yamaha once they arrive. I will try some of the others on subsequent sting changes. Thanks again!

I use GHS Doyle Dykes Signature strings on my NS62. I really prefer the wound G string over a standard nylon since the diameter is so much less. I'm not sure if the Muriel Anderson strings have a wound G; I suspect they don't.

Default String Choice?

Ernie Ball strings - Very good strings imo
They sound great!

Personally, I like using acoustic folk guitar strings
so perfect for me at least

Check this link for a list of guitar gauges: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_strings

I've just put Sevilla medium tensions on my Yamaha G-231-II. They sound great.

I have Savarez normal tensions for my LaPatrie Etude. They also sound great.
