Lexicon Native Reverb
This is a shot in the dark but I thought I would ask.
Has anyone here personally tried out the Lexicon Native Reverb? (you need an iLok device to try the 10 day demo) http://www.lexiconpro.com/product.php?id=163 If so can you compare it to personal use of one of the newer hardware Lexicon PCM reverbs? I am considering it as I liked the demo but I have not personally compared it to one of their hardware reverbs.

other than reading great reviews, i'd sure like to find someone who has had hands-on with it. sounds like a winner to me.

I have used it hands on (10 day demo) and it was very nice but then again I have not used the Lexicon hardward units it is based on.

Yikes, now it see Lexicon is coming out with another native reverb bundle in May, the LXP Native Reverb Plug-in Bundle.
http://www.lexiconpro.com/product.php?id=167 They do not say so far what reverb algorithms this one is based on (eg PCM 70 etc). I guess I will have to demo this when it is out to compare it to the more pricey Lexicon Native bundle.

Native is exactly the same DSP code as the reverb part of the PCM 96 (with bug fixes). You don't need to believe me either since the lead DSP coder for Native and PCM 96 came on record to say exactly that. He goes by the handle 'Nobody Special' over at Gearslutz: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-p...in-bundle.html

I use Lexicon Native and it's, by far, the best software reverb I've ever heard.
In most cases I much prefer it over convolution types. I've never used Lexicon hardware so I can't compare. |

If you know the code is the same then why are you asking this question?
