Default Another Heresy - from KOZM Guitars

Hi,

I’ve been working on 3 new Heresy guitars lately, for the upcoming NW Handmade Musical Instrument Exhibit, in Portland, OR.
http://www.nwmusicalinstrumentshow.org/

Here’s a look at the first one, the Heresy 1 - 2.

As the name implies, this is the second Heresy 1 I’ve built.
It has a rather small body size - inspired by a 1963 Sears Silvertone acoustic I once owned.

24.75” scale length.
Hard Maple front, Claro Walnut back.
All of the internal bracing is machined directly into (out of?) the individual body-halves.
The neck is made of maple and mahogany, with a pau ferro headstock, and EIR fretboard.
EIR bridge, bleached bone saddle.

Neck joint: bolt on

I plan to have a video out soon, as well as photos of the 2 other Heresies.

I’m hoping to use the upcoming show as a barometer to gauge people’s reaction to the Heresy line.

Anticipated price: ~ $2200

As always, all comments, critiques, and questions welcome.

Thanks a ton,

Jeff Kosmoski

Beautiful work. Do you have pics of the bracing? And how would you describe the sound?

Very nice on the eyes. I appreciate how you have optimized the grain patterns.

Would you say this would fit an acoustic jazz style player?

Default A look at the inside structure

Here's a look at the inside surfaces of the front and back halves of the body.

For the front, the thicker areas are nominally .105" thick; thinner areas are nominally .090".

For the back, the thicker areas are nominally .175" thick; the thinner areas are .063".

Hope to have a video out soon!

That's a very cool looking guitar. I like the rounded edges and the unusual shape of it. Looks like it should be wired.

What at the dimensions? How much does it weigh? And most importantly how would you describe the sound?

Thanks very much for showing this guitar.

Default KOZM Heresy 2

Here's a look at the second guitar in the recent batch.
The Heresy 2 has a slightly larger body size than the Heresy 1.
It too has a maple front, but a mahogany back.
It has a 25.5" scale length, whereas the H1 is 24.75"

EIR rosette, bridge and fingerboard

Mahogany and maple shank, pau ferro headstock, Gotoh 510 tuners.

I hope to have video out in a couple days.
Please stay tuned.
