K&K preamp battery...
Hi,
Does using rechargeable batteries for preamps affect the sound quality? Regards, ILG

That's a question for the good folks at K&K. I don't know the limits of voltage for their units.

The voltage on the battery should read at least 8 volts when it's in the circuit. Rechargable batteries will not last as long of course, but as long as the voltage is within the proper range, should work fine.

I've used rechargables in my AD-8. The work fine, but you'll need to change them more often as my experience (with Energizer AA 2500mAh) shows rechargables drain more quickly when not in use.
Other than that it should not be a problem.
