Default Do the RainSong Shorty and OS1000 have the same body?

Just wondering what the size difference would be between a RainsSong shorty and an OS1000 with a short scale neck.

Are they the exact same body?

Thanks!

The Shorty uses the standard OM body with the NS, 12-Fret short scale neck, so if you order an OM1000NS, it would be the exact same dimension.

Thanks for your response.

So, in that case, is there any reason at all not to just get the shorty?

If you are considering ordering an OM1000NS than you will gain some projection from the CF back and sides, but loose some of the warmth offered by the Hybrid back and sides combined with the Unidirectional top. If you like you can call me at the store, I will be happy to go through what each option brings to the table.

Thanks Ted. I may call if I get a chance this week. For now, is it possible to get a tobacco burst in any model of RainSong?

Yes, you can order any model with a burst finish, tobacco or marine.

Thanks again, Ted.

I'm a ways out from a purchase, but I'm eyeing RainSong pretty closely.

Do it, ptc, do it!

I bought mine from Ted, he was very helpful. Still enjoy mine almost every day!

Just pulling the $ together if you know what I mean. Ted's interactions speak volumes about the way he does business, so I may well be turning to him when the time comes. Luckily there's a shop not far from me that keeps RainSongs on hand, so I'll be able to get a feel for CF before I buy.
