Um, no. Why do you ask? I think the authorities will be handling this one.

Little men with big guns or big bows going unfairly after big game makes them feel more like a man I suppose.

Last edited by Riker36; 07-28-2015 at 01:03 PM. Reason: Added bows to the wording.

What a jerk. I don't think this is going to increase his patient list at his dental practice.

i don't really understand the big gaming mentality, but people need to realize those days are over.

I wasn't aware that a bow and arrow qualified as a big gun.

Not that it makes any difference in how wrong it was.

I don't have a lot of understanding for people who travel the world killing things for sport. That said, it also appears that the guides he was using might have been the ones to break the law and lure the animal out of the park. If the hunter knew... that is disgusting. Maybe he didn't. I still find it distasteful that people find pleasure at killing animals for sport. Sustenance is different of course.

Anyway.. just MHO. YMMV.

I don't think that the other parties involved should be let off the hook.

Does that imply some sort of bravery? I bet dollars to donuts the guide or guides were sitting by with rifles.

I read the news this morning and to add to the tragedy:

"The six cubs of Cecil will now be killed by the new male lion in the pride, Mr Rodrigues added, in order to encourage the lionesses to mate with him."

"That's how it works... it's in the wild. It's nature taking its course," he said.

In any case, he'll be a social outcast for the rest of his life.
