Default Problem with piezio under saddle pick up

I recently replaced the plastic saddle on my Ovation clone with a tusq replacement.Trouble is I amgetting no dignal from the low E and high E.The other four strings are fine.Any ideas?

make sure it's sanded flat on the bottom and that it's properly seated in the bridge. Also make sure the pickup filament is properly seated under the saddle

Good signal in the middle and none at the ends is definitely a contact problem. Hope you get it resolved before it drives you nuts.

Piezo wires can be a bit fragile too. Did you move the pickup wire while changing the saddle?

No',I did not remove or touch the pick up in the slot.I did sand the saddle down so It might not be making proper contact due to leveling issues.

Ok!problem solved.Turns out the bottom of the replacement was not square so I flattened it out on a piece of glass with 180 grit sandpaper taped to it.I checked it with the blade of my combination square and when it was right I reinstalled it.All six strings now amplify properly.Thanks for the helpful tips and advice!
