Trying vaguely to comply with the OP's conditions, and therefore restricting my choices to songs I've performed in public at some time or other (which I don't do any more):
1. My most poignant choice would be 'It's all over now, Baby Blue'. 2. My tongue in cheek choice would be 'Baby let me follow you down'. 3. My 'thanks for all these astounding songs, Bob' choice might be 'Blind Willie McTell'; but more likely it would be 'Mr Tambourine Man', and I'd imagine him dancing beneath a diamond sky with one hand waving free.

As the OP, there was no deep mysterious reason about asking for contributions from performers ... I just took it for granted that if you were going to perform a tribute to Bob Dylan, you would probably be doing it to an audience of some description... whether at an open mic, or at a paid gig, or at a singaround , or whatever else.
I didn't intend to limit input to paid performers , and if that was how it came across, then I apologize. |

I'll take "Restless Farewell."

If it happens in this administration, I'll have to learn "Idiot Wind." (Or is even that a political post? If so, apologies.)
