Why not call Maury tomorrow at Maury's Music. He's a sponsor here and sells both brands.
Unless you can't wait until tomorrow

Best prices and selection of anywhere I've seen.

Default Blueridge owners

I would love to hear from some Blueridge owners, if someone can kindly chime in.

Thank you.

I own a BR183CE and love it. The neck is a bit wider and thicker than my MartinDCX1E but not to any great extent. If my calibers were handy I would measure them both but, of course, when I want them they are nowhere to be found.

My favorite thing about the Blueridge and what attracted it to me is it is LOUD. Much louder than the Martin. The thing I liked least about it was the fret height. Not jumbos but uncomfortable to me. I made a long block sander and cut them down a bit.

You really should call Maury. Any other comment written here will have less credibility then a guitar playing dealer who has both in stock and can give you an in hand description.

I cannot answer your question as to neck comparison. I think you would love the sound. I am impressed by mine.

In some ways I agree. But even better than that, you are spending a lot of money, go to a store and put them both in your hands. You just can't beat touchie feelie.

I don't own a BR but I looked hard at them and wanted to buy one. D-shaped kind of like an epiphone. The shape doesn't work for my hands. The neck is made worse in my opinion due to its gloss finish. It's a shame it didn't work for me. But that's just me.

It depends on the model, different necks depending on whether it's from their Historic or Contemporary series.

Not sure about Blueridge OM's but I had one of their original dreads back when they were 1 11/16" nut width.
2007 historic, 140A. It sounded real good but the neck was so skinny. Under .800" at the first fret.
It had more dynamic range than any adi topped $500-$1,000 guitars that I have ever played.
