Default Two CDs – Both Recorded 100% for Charity!

Two CDs – Both Recorded 100% for Charity!

One entitled “Now & Then” with 100% of the money going to help the victims of “Katrina”
An eclectic mix of Flamenco, Classical and Fingerstyle Folk guitar, Bluegrass, some sung folk songs, some instrumentals and a sung Classical piece. (Strange mix I know, but that is who I am musically).

Available on-line at: http://www.thoraudio.com/CD.html
(w/some MP3 samples on the page)

The second is “Folk & Bluegrass Songs” – As the title says, with 100% of the money going to help Travis Edmonson (of the folk duo “Bud & Travis” who has Parkinson’s Disease, and needs help with the mounting medical bills. Again, 100% of the money goes to Travis, but this time, all the payments are to mailed directly to Travis’ wife - less work for me, and the family gets the money sooner!
This CD will be available on or near the end of 1/2007.

Available on-line at: http://www.thoraudio.com/CD_Travis.html
(w/some MP3 samples on the page)

Thanks for your generosity,
Paul Marks

Hello all!
I introduced some time ago my first two CDs; here again to tell you that they are now available on cdbaby. With my new one, "Train-ing", another solo fingerstyle CD, with original tunes and personal arrangements of pop songs, such as "Gotta Get You Into My Life", or JT's "Your Smiling Face", or "Ebony And Ivory" and many others.

http://cdbaby.com/cd/pelosi3
http://cdbaby.com/cd/pelosi2
http://cdbaby.com/cd/pelosi1

My first two CDs were recorded with my Taylor 812CE and my Ibanez SG21.
My third was entirely recorded with my gem: Gottschall FB14 Giovanni Pelosi signature model.

Should you be curious, you might see her at
http://www.funnelbody.de , where there are (click on "sound" some video samples).

Ciao,
Giovanni Pelosi

I have taken the plunge and recorded my first CD of original fingerstyle tunes. A few tracks include acoustic percussion, otherwise its all guitar- mostly my Mcilory AJ25cx but my Simon Fay Proto type #5, Larrivee LV-05 and a Martin can be heard as well. I finally created a website with the help of my son and I would appreciate any comments, thoughts or suggestions regarding the website or CD. I am new to this so any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks to the AGF, as always, for giving us a place to promote acoustic guitar music and hang out with other acoustic guitar aficionados.

My band is called The Gadjo Players. Our debut cd "Between Two Waters" is available on cdbaby. Here's the link... http://cdbaby.com/cd/gadjoplayers

Fans of gypsy swing and David Grisman style DAWG music will enjoy this cd of all original tunes (mostly written by me!). Our line up consists of guitar, octave and regular mandolin, violin, and upright bass.

Thanks,
Mike

Default Two CDs

I may have listed the first CD here. I have followed it up with one of my arrangements of traditional hymns. They are well suited to solo acoustic fingerstyle and vocal performances. Especially listen to Amazing Grace.
Also check out my original songs on the first CD "Perspective".

Default "Kaleponi" is released

I've been working for a loooooong time on my first CD of Hawaiian slack key guitar instrumentals, and it's finally done. You can check out CD Baby:

http://cdbaby.com/cd/franguidry to purchase or listen to samples.

Hawaiian slack key is a pretty simple style, but I fell in love with it a few years ago and don't play anything else. If you need a few minutes of relaxation, please stop by and give a listen.

Thanks,
Fran

Smile Melodic instrumental guitar!

Hello everyone. I am new here.

I released an instrumental guitar album last year. Although it has electric guitar as well there is a lot of acoustic in it too. As well as an all acoustic track called "Angel In Ice". Feel free to check out my myspace page and give Angel In Ice a listen. So far the positive feedback I have received over this album has been incredible. I plan on starting a follow up this spring which will be an all acoustic instrumental.

Genre: Instrumental Melodic Guitar
Release Date: 03/2006
Label: Indepentent
Songs: 14
Total Time: 74:15min

Click here to listen to my whole album online for free.

I should be more specific: Campfire and Coming Home are songwriter albums. A Family Songbook is for kids.

A "bump" for Chuck here--he is a fine writer, singer and guitarist with a gentle and easygoing sensibility. In a way, he gave me my "restart" when I jumped back into solo acoustic music after fifteen years in rock cover bands: my first paid gig when I got back into folk was opening for him at Winners (now the Grafton) in Chicago. He was an indispensable member of our Old Town School of Folk Music First Friday Songwriters' Exchange--and you can also find him on our 2004 Sampler for the benefit of the Chicago Academy for the Performing Arts. (http://cdbaby.com/cd/libman) Chi-town's loss is Arizona's--and the nation's--gain.

Default Stone Cold Roosters

My new band's CD is finally out. It's a mix of western swing, old-school country, honky tonk and a little blues. The acoustic tracks were played on a Taylor 714, a sweet recording guitar.

This is the most fun I've had recording in a long while.

Here are some links:

Myspace

Our website

There are four tracks on the myspace for your enjoyment. Links to Digstation, iTunes and some nice reviews on our website.

Best regards to all my AGF friends. I'm sorry I seldom get here anymore but I have my hands full (new baby due soon...a REAL baby, not a baby Taylor!)

Casey
