Question from newbie to recording....
- Want acoustic guitar sound... not much in the way of added affects - Want microphone input for high quality singing, ok... not that high of quality voice - I have a fancy computer, if needed From reading I am thinking the following options may be good for me: Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 --- ~$320 used MAudio Delta 66 --- ~$180 used MAudio Studio w/Delta 66 ---~$250 used Digital Audio Labs CardDeluxe ---~$200 used Terratec DMX 6 Fire 24/96 ---~$220 used Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum 2 ---~$125 used Little more $: Digidesign Mbox w ProTools 6 --- ~$370 used Tascam US-428 w/Cubase VST 5.0 ---~$300 used Boss BR-532 --- ~$230 used Yes, I have too many choices... Please give me your suggestions of one of these or something you like better for similar cost. And certainly tell me if you do not like any of these. Thanks for all the great advice as always... Definately don't even consider the Sound Blaster. The M-Audio products look like your best bet. I have a Delta-44, that works fine for my purposes. Ardvark makes good products as well.

You can get a brand new Delta 44 for $230, a Delta 66 for $300. Got both, no probelms or complaints.
Get N-Track Studio for $69.00 for the 24-bit version, at http://fasoft.com/register.shtm. Good starter setup with the D-44, IMHO. |

Boss BR532.
Tons of features and all in the one unit. And its pretty portable.
