Default your digs

Swamp Yankee, your house looks very close to my friends in Minden, Nevada.
You're very fortunate to have that space.

Magic

What I did was select the pic in your Flickr folder, click on the curly arrow to the right on the bottom to "share" then click on "embed".

That copies the link to your clipboard. Then I put the cursor into this box to write a post and hit the keyboard "Ctrl" and "V" keys at the same. That pasted the copied link...then I edited out all the bits that were outside of these two bits of code [img] and [/img] but you don't have to do that to see the picture.

And how did I get to your Flickr folder? I used the quote feature to quote your post to see what you'd tried to post - followed that till I found your pictures then I looked for a house.

Simple!

Default That's all quite ingenious, thanks.

But it sounds like it was just what I did, other than deleting the IMG words on it. Hmmm...

Yes Montana uses that moniker, but true of most places the Rocky Mountain West.

Often big distances in the vistas also.

Wolf tracks in the middle pasture

Our pond in the South Pasture

Sometimes those Big Sky's are pretty colorful also

Ooops...no, I copied the BB Code bit and edited out extra bits. If you use the picture button in the reply to thread box here on the forum - that automatically sets you up with a [img] and a [/img]

the idea is that you then paste the correct address in between those two bits and you're good to go.

But when you copy the text from flickr, it gives you way too much text, including [url] text and everything. That won't work if you do that when using the picture button in the forum reply box.

All you really need from the stuff you paste from flickr to show the image is the [img] and the [/img] and text between the [img] and the [/img] if you edit all that other stuff out and just paste the [img] and the [/img] with the stuff between those two, into a reply box without using the picture button, you'll be all set.

But if you just pasted the entire text from Flickr into the reply box here, again without using the picture button, you'd get the image and links to your Flickr folder where the image comes from.

It would look like this:

I'm jealous! Around these parts it's so hilly and forested that you can seldom see more than a mile in any direction unless you find a hill top or go to the beaches.

Here's the house we're currently building along with a few pics of our "backyard". The property covers five square kilometres and has six and a half klms of river. there is almost endless amounts of bush, huge rock formations and varied river scenes. We still haven't seen all of the property after four years.

Hokey smokes! What a gorgeous place to call "home"

Are those rainwater collection tanks under the house?
