McCollum Meghan Brazilian
A note from the original owner:
"For Sale: Brazilian Lance McCollum Meghan - Un-played MINT Condition. Since my playing has been seriously curtailed due to ongoing carpel tunnel and my music room is overflowing with other instruments, I've decided to thin the herd and sell my finest guitar. My friend Lance McCollum built this for me as a special favor. He built this guitar 4 few years ago from my personal wood stash. The back and sides are 70+ yr old Brazilian R/W. Absolutely stunning figure with an awesome stripe of cream-colored sapwood down the middle. Under direct light the back and sides present multi colors with a green flourescence, very cool. The top is from Lance's best stash - AAAA Italian Spruce. No cutaway. Fretboard and bridge are dark quartered Brazilian as well. No fretboard marker inlays. Gold Schaller mini tuning machines. Fretboard has a thin perimeter abalone inlay as does the top. Rosette is a signature McCollum knot. Custom Calton case comes with the instrument. Nut 1 3/4". Scale 25.7" Braced for light gauge." (Built in 2003) I own a number of finer examples of Lance's work. I am reducing my acoustic guitar holdings and am offering this example for sale on a one time basis. If interested, please PM me and I will provide photos. $10K firm. |

Lance M
Got a chance to play one that had been stored for several years with no care. With awful strings I could hear the cry of its soul , I can only imagine this one
