Default NGD - 1984 Gibson ES-335 Dot

I've been on the search for a Gibson ES-335 for a long time now. I started THIS THREAD some time ago and got great insight from you all (especially you, Bob Womack), but nothing felt "right." I played Epiphones and Eastmans as cheaper options, but didn't bond with them. I played a new 335 or two at Guitar Center with the same result.

My search came to an end today with the acquisition of a 1984 ES-335 Dot, a local sale at that. The guitar is in crazy nice condition for being 33 years old. It's got a chunky "D" neck (much like the R9 carve) that feels like home. The original case is nearly flawless and the Tim Shaw humbuckers still have the "Pat Appl For" stickers on them.

Congrats on finding a guitar that speaks to you and I'm glad to have been of some help!

If you can't get a pic to show I can help.

Bob

Gents, I guess I'm having troubles with photos on AGF. I've used Google Photos for years to post photos here but lately it seems that something's amiss. It appears that KeVWind was able to see the photo and I can certainly see it in my browser, but perhaps others can't and I'm not sure why.

Just post links of the photos instead of embedding them.

Something is going on because I saw it right after you posted it but now it looks like this. I am on Mac OSX don't know if that matters but funny it was there and now gone

Weird. Not sure what is going on. I use both Mac OS X (at home) and Windows (at work) with Safari, Chrome and IE. On all, I can view the images and apparently others can view them, but only some of the time. I'm wondering if Google Photos is the culprit somehow.

For years I used Google Photos without issue, but just in the last few months, posting photos directly to the forum has become cumbersome.

Stupid google wants user key on the link so direct image is not displayed.
You have to use other photo services like Flickr that give direct image address.
For example your guitar image in Flickr:
