PSA -Microphone Deal Alert
I purchased a few of these when they were on sale a couple of years ago on the strength of another forum member's recommendation. I have Encore 100s and an Encore 200. Both are well built and provide superior vocals -at least they make my vocals passable and that's saying a lot.
If you need another mic, check this out. You cannot go wrong at this price. http://https://www.sweetwater.com/st...eld-microphone |

Thru the end of the year most dealers have the BLUE enCore 100 and enCore 200 on a Two for One deal. The enCore 100 are $99. The enCore 200 are $149. Buy one for that price you'll get two of either model. Both have the identical dynamic moving coil capsule. The enCore 200 is an Active Dynamic with built-in preamp circuitry that requires 48v Phantom Power. The active circuitry yields about 4db more gain and a bit more proximity effect. Watch the vids comparing the two mics. AFAIK, the enCore 200 will not work reliably at less than 40v Phantom Power, so bear that in mind.

i had an encore 200 for about 3 months..
Didnt work for me. i think the active circuitry made i a bit unmanageable . or maybe it was faulty. not For my voice anyway. i sold it and got a heil PR-35. no phantom needed. |

Link didn't work. Went to the sweetwater page and clicked on their link and it doesn't work either. Wonder if they sold out.

I looks like the 2 for 1 deal is ramping down. Musicians friend is still offering it on the enCORE 100 mic though. |

Sweetwater's 2 for1 deal on the Blue enCore 100 was still valid on the product page and shopping cart last night at 9:45PM Pacific Time. The fine print stated that the offer was valid through December 31, 2017, so they were not going by the Eastern Time Zone.
