Default Eric Skye -Watermelon Man (Live)

Just found this on my Facebook page this morning. https://youtu.be/_YdLzn_Vb2I
From my solo set at the Santa Cruz Guitar Company 40th Anniversary Concert back in September. Playing to a pin-drop quiet audience of five hundred and fifty was a pretty big thrill. I don't usually get nervous, but I about pooped myself that night My favorite part was that my kids traveled to the show and got to sit in the front row with my wife. My thirteen year old son texted me when I got of the stage that I was "actually kinda cool," - that of course only lasted about twenty minutes...

I feel fortunate to have seen this performance live, and it (and the rest of your set) was outstanding. My wife isn't much of a guitar aficionado, but during your set, she leaned over and said, "Wow, he's really good". I just smiled, and said...yep! Of course, she's used to listening to me, so don't let that go to your head. It was pleasure to be there, and a pleasure to meet you!

Very nice, Eric! Good arrangement of some classic Herbie Hancock. I'm afraid I don't understand the album cover though...

Wow! Superb performance. Very cool rhythm... great groove. I remember that tune from years ago. I like yours better than the original.

Eric, I was also there that night. It was a great night of music, and you kicked it off perfectly! I remember thinking to myself that if I was in that situation, playing first, by myself, in front of that kind of audience, that I would have been an absolute wreck...but look at Eric, he's as cool as a cucumber! That was great playing, super enjoyable to watch and listen to!

Cool. Glad it sounded good out front. I was the only one that didn't use a pickup that night. Large diaphragm condesor with no monitors in a big theater is quite the thrill.
