Default the spatial dimension of sound

hi folks,

just to give some information about the spatial dimension of sound, caused by a lot of soundports on a wonderful vaultback made by David Anthony Reid. It's a present for the player not for the listener but such a wonderful pleasure to my old ears and it is absolutely indicated to my opinion.
I hope you'll enjoy the pics and soundfile

PS: I recommend the explaining video and the soundexample on my last post.

Default explanation

hi Folks,

thank you so much for your kind words. I'll transfer them to David Anthony Reid, the luthier.

first of all I'll add two files:

https://soundcloud.com/guitarchie-1/...o-auf-der-welt
https://soundcloud.com/guitarchie-1/...and-so-it-goes

the first is an old song from the comedian harmonists, written in difficult times and I suppose the second is wellknown.
They can give an impression of that wonderful - to say it with Davids words - "halo-effect", caused by this more than twenty soundports of different sizes and places because they both are picked up with my simple tascam and in the second one you can hear the difference between this spatial dimension of the guitar's voice and the unidimensional human voice. (it is played and sang together, so with the same conditions)
It comes from these many soundports in the joint between the back and the sides and I myself decided which holes have been closed by binding to give the most pleasure of hearing to my old ears, yes you can say it's one of a kind of a unique even personalized guitar.
Unfortunately it seems to be the last, made by David so I thought I have to give this information to other guitar-enthusiasts.
I hope you enjoy it

all the best

Reinhold

Default the breathtaking halosound

hi Folks,
thank you again for your interest.
if you want to hear something about the principle of that soundcreation I'd recommend the little video of the luthier:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYc2...DYwuGFjfLJ69dA

I myself made the experience what impressing difference of sound is caused by the different portareas.

and last not least my most impressing soundexample of this effect.
I hope you could enjoy it.

Default some more information

hi Folks

just another soundfile, an old song from George and a pic demonstrating this spatial character of sound by closing and opening different areas around the peripheral of the guitars back.
