Default More or less than 1.00 thick?

Can't figure out how to post a poll so I'm just going to ask. Really simple do you prefer picks less than 1.0mm thick or do you like them thicker?

After a lot of requests I've added a line of thumbpicks and flatpicks that are less than 1.0mm so I'm wondering how many of our folks prefer picks less than 1.0mm vs how many like them thicker than 1.0mm.

1. Less than 1.0 thickness
2. More than 1.0 thickness

Just started using picks. So far Dunlop Ultex .73 works best for me.

This will be interesting.

Right now for me would be option 1.

.73-.80 has always been my comfort zone, but I've been experimenting with some .88, 1.0, 1.14 and 1.3 picks and they're starting to grow on me. The material is the biggest difference to me. Heavy picks in Tortex or
Celluloid do not work for me, but I'm enjoying the Nylon and Ultex
material in heavier gauges.

The .88 primetone is becoming my favorite and if I ever step to a custom pick like your's or Scott's I'd go with .88.

I usually prefer picks close to 1.0 but a little bit over or under is fine with me.

Interesting. Keep the responses coming. I would have expected more "greater than 1.0mm" folks so far. I wonder if they're all in bed now?

I'm with the majority so far, digging the .6-.9 range with a firm but slight flex. For different tunes and styles I go slightly heavier and thinner. I didn't like thick at all until I started to like them with some 1.x Gravity picks, but really found the sweet spot for me and >1.0 with a couple Charmed Life picks I got (thanks Scott).

I do want to try the Goat Whiskey. Are you gonna make the beverage too? Sounds like some kind of wicked ale.

Way more than 1.0 mm. I like 2.00 mm minimum. Sure I tried the wimpy .73 mm nylons, but when I actually tried thicker picks vs just reading and posting about them I got much clearer, focused, cleaner, louder tone.

On acoustic, around .60 to. 75, depending on the material. On electric, 1.0 to 1.25.

I do use the .73's but would like to point out that I enjoy reading about the 1.0+ picks. I even saw one once.

Exactly 1.00 mm! No more, no less. Anyone that says different is crazy.
I therefore can neither vote 1 or 2 and am forced to abstain from the poll.

I can't use anything thinner than 1 mm on electric and prefer 1.2 to 1.4 on acoustic.
