Cool 'Love in the Car" - original tune

Hey folks! With all those who have been posting songs that are obviously multi-tracked and more "studio" recordings, I've been feeling a bit under-powered with just my little Tascam DR-05 recorder, doing live voice/guitar with no options of any "treatment", post recording...

So, I thought I would put up this cut from my CD, "Behind the Mask", for your listening enjoyment! It's the opening cut on the disc, a bit of an acoustic rockabilly-swing vibe, with the friends who accompanied me on the record.

Inspired by an old 1967 Chevy II wagon who I affectionately called Lenny, and a wonderful woman named Lucy...

I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for listening!

Hi John,

That was really well done, John. Very enjoyable piece of work -- nice singing, nice groove, nice playing! Thanks for sharing that!

Very nicely done! It has a retro feel to it that I really enjoy! Thanks for sharing it here.

Thanks a lot, Glenn and Bob! Glad you liked it...

It was a lot of fun to make that record... the studio I used, OTR Studios in Belmont, CA., was a great little studio; very comfortable and conducive to the project... and all the folks who played and sang on it were just a pleasure to be with and make music!

Thanks for listening...

John

Thanks, indigomusic! I suppose it is a blast from the past, but, as a songwriter, I figure that if someone is hearing it for the first time, it's BRAND NEW to them!

I think I wrote this tune in 1980 or thereabouts, though... and I probably will put up another song or two from my CD, from time to time... no need to overload the folks here!

You can always check out my Soundcloud account for new stuff, too...

Once again, thanks for listening!
