Webber OM cutaway, Flamed Maple/Cedar SOLD...read about my Fairbanks!
David Webber OMc, cutaway in near mint/like new condition except one small ding on headstock. This is a uniquely beautiful guitar in every way.
-Built in 2014 by David Webber of Vancouver, Canada -Purchased NEW in July 2015 from the Minor Chord in Littleton, Mass. -Flamed Big Leaf Maple back & sides -Western Red Cedar top (Chocolate hued....very desirable) -Minimal playing time -Full specs below -No trades -Replacement Value: $3,300 PRICE: $2,000 Condition: Carefully maintained/handled, always cased & humidified. Near mint except small ding on top of head stock. I am selling as I have accumulated quite a few guitars. This is the start of my guitar reduction. David Webber, in my estimation, makes the best guitar for the money and he is fabulous with Maple........not an easy wood to master in guitar making. Kim Walker is my other favorite maple guitar builder and I sold my Walker maple for in excess of $20,000. This Webber OMc ranks right up there with the Walker in tone. By the way, maple is probably the best wood for recording. The 410 is irrelevant and is the prefix on all the instruments. The 19 is the 19th guitar that year. The 14 is the year, 2014 it was made. Add up the various production numbers over the years and yours is the xxxth of 1409 guitar to date through 7-1-15. The guitars can be shipped much later than the year of manufacture, just to keep it interesting. And in the past when I built more than 100 instruments I added a digit that will further confuse the historians someday. All the data is kept in frayed black book with hand entries from many of my past employees and myself." Awesome guitar! I have a Webber 00 in these exact woods (though without that gorgeous maple flame!) that I adore. Bruce is a fabulous seller; his guitars are in awesome shape, and he's excellent (and a lot of fun) to work with. Great opportunity for someone...

David Webber guitars: One of the biggest-bang-for-the-buck acoustic builders out there. This one is a real beauty. GLWS

Another endorsement for this seller. I bought a guitar from Bruce several years ago--seamless and pleasant transaction, and the guitar was everything he listed it to be.
As an added bonus, Bruce is a great guy to deal with--buy with confidence!

Webber OM cutaway, Flamed Maple - $2,000 is stupid low for this guitar
Very cool David Webber maple/cedar cutaway.....great, great value!
Webber maples among the best and absolutely best bang for your dollar. David Webber is under the radar in the U.S. where that is NOT the case in Canada. Prices are significantly more in Canada.

Courtesy bump from a fellow Webber aficionado!
It has been said over and over but it bears repeating that David's guitars are indeed one of the best values out there. You do get A LOT of guitar for your money and it can easily hang with ones costing 3 or 5 times more. David is also close to or is already retired so now is a great time to grab one (or two!) while you can. If I didn't already have a Webber and another maple OM, this would have long been gone. |

Webber OM cutaway, Flamed Maple has sold........READ about my Fairbanks!
Thanks Rye. I thought about removing the post, but figured it has sailed into the recesses of AGF annals.
Sadly for you who have not experienced David Webber guitars, especially David's maple/cedar combination, this beauty has gone back to where I sent it one time earlier. Another of great AGF friends had to have it so we concocted a 4 guitar trade that enable him to get the beloved maple OMc and I the McAlister 000-28 that I let go back to him. I also received my first Dale Fairbanks guitar, a 2016 F-40 (think of the Gibson J-185 of which Gibson made only 280 some natural models 1951-59). Dale Fairbanks makes great guitars which can be attested to by the high end guitar shops that are carrying his wonder pieces. My F-40 has torrefied maple back and sides, a torrefied spruce top AND a torreified mahogany neck. Wow. I encourage all of you AGF'er to check out Dale's website www.fairbanksguitars.com and then find one to play or better yet buy. You wont be sorry. Up and coming and still under the radar so really reasonably priced!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't call Dale "under the radar" there are plenty of folks here who would give a left arm for one of his guitars!!!

Webber OM cutaway, Flamed Maple has sold........READ about my Fairbanks!
Hey Keith,
Yes, there are some in the know about Dale Fairbanks guitars and many of those would, as you indicate, love to have one of his guitars. However, my point is that not nearly enough people have been fortunate to have played, or let alone heard of Fairbanks guitars. That is what I purport to do, spread the Fairbanks name. Fairbanks Guitars is not widely enough known or broadcast, so yes, they are under the radar. So are Webber guitars and David Webber has been making guitars a lot longer than Dale Fairbanks. It's tough being a small shop luthier. There is a plethora of competition and it takes a differentiating factor to be elevated above the fray. As someone who has owned most every significant builder, i can say Fairbanks guitars are worth consideration and comparison by all of us.

Hi Robby,
I never said that his guitars aren't work consideration and was in no way discounting his builds,
