That's the way I'd do it if I were head coach but thankfully for the Pens I'm not.

HC Mike Sullivan has shown a marked preference for Murray when both have been healthy so I'm not sure what Sullivan might do. It may be a moot point for awhile though. A reporter in Pittsburgh revealed this morning that Murray is still limping noticeably and that he hasn't been on the ice for any reason since the warmups for game #1 of the series with Columbus.

Yeah. Murray is done for the remainder likely from a pulled groin, but barring any setbacks come October Fleury will already have been gone. I'll miss him but he's having quite the swan song to his career with the Pens. He now holds the record for most playoff wins as a Penguins goalie, passing Tom Barasso.

So Murray's likely done for the remainder of the playoffs? Yikes.

Bruins getting ready to play in a must win game. Go Bruins!

How about Kadri's hit on Ovechkin last night? I was watching the game when it happened. I though Ovechkin was gone for the year by the way he was laying on the ice but he came back.

Bruins win in double OT!!!

Historic win for the Bruins as they become the first NHL to score 3 goals in a sudden death playoff game. With a big assist to some truly incompetent referees.

I am no longer okay with an Ottawa victory. We have one Marchand. Ottawa has at least 3. I've seen too many cheap hits to the knee from them. It seems to be part of their system.

Much more interesting series than I expected. Better team won. And I love the handshake line and salute to the home team fans.

Edit: Also Karlson is awesome and I'm happy for the Ottawa goalie after hearing about his wife's battle with cancer.

Caps, you're just making this too hard. Four overtimes in five games...really?!

I guess I'm a St Louis fan from here on out. Anaheim is the favorite to win the cup, but I can't possibly cheer from any team from California. Or Florida or Arizona. I'm struggling with Nashville right now, it's borderline.

And Las Vegas? Please, that is beyond wrong. I'm just hoping that they take one or two of the Bruins ill advised Free Agent signings off the books in the expansion draft. Especially Beleski and Hayes. Useless, both of them. And goodbye Spooner, he's a FA. I can't imagine he'll command much attention from anybody.

Sweeny has shown - except for his first one - that he knows how to draft. The FA signings so far however, have been mostly busts. He's got half a good team, but the other half needs an upgrade and it can't all come from the draft, so we'll be watching what he does very closely up here. (Or down here)

There were a record 18 O/T's in the first round. There were 4 (one a double) in the B's/Senators series.

Sad about the Bruins but we're on to Round 2. Penguins/Capitals is the series to watch with Crosby/Ovechkin going head to head for a 3rd time in the playoffs.

Let's go Pens.

LET'S GO CAPS!
I am very excited even though the CAPS will get spanked by the Arctic birds that cannot fly.

The CAPS will lose.
The Wizards will lose.
The Redskins will botch the draft.

I am a typical Washingtonian.

Caps/Penguins may turn out to be the best series of the entire playoffs. Tomorrow night - go Penguins!

Round 2 starts tonight, rooting for McDavid and his Oilers in the West.
