Default Under tension

The guitar has been strung up since March 7th in Bruce's shop and will undergo a final set-up before being shipped to me early next week. After a week around his shop under tension and taken through some playing evaluation, Bruce will have it "dialed in". As anxious as I am to get my hands on a new commission, I have found that this extra week added to the build process to be invaluable. Unfortunately, Bruce is having some camera issues, so we don't have any additional photos to share at the moment.... With some luck, I should have the guitar before next weekend...

Bruce placed a link in his main build thread of him demoing working on the frets on my guitar at recent NCAL meeting that he held at his workshop.

Default FinalFinal

I have done he final work on Bob's guitar today, and I plan to ship tomorrow. I "misplaced" my camera this week, and spent part of today acquiring a new one so that I could make these final picrure. Final for me, of course, Bob has better cameras than I do, I think, even considering the Sony a6000 I used for the ones on the guitar's page located here. And here is one photo for those of you who may not care enough to click the link:

Congrats Bob on a wonderful build! Are my eyes deceiving me or is that a Manzer wedge in one of the photos?

Thanks Marcus...

Bruce almost always puts a subtle amount (~1/4" or 6.35 mm) of wedge in his guitars so you are likely seeing that in the shot showing end graft.

Single 0s are somewhat thicker than 00s, 000s, and OMs, and benefit at least as much as they do from a bit of latitudinal taper. IMO, of course.

Thanks Dennis.... I knew it would be special from the moment Bruce and I tapped the wood sets last December.
