Cordoba 20th Anniversary Guitar...
WOW!!! What a stunner. Would love to have one of these beauties. Too bad they're only making five of them. You'd think they'd at least make TWENTY of them.

The basis is supposedly Hauser, with modern adaptations.... not sure what that implies. Beautiful though.

Looks beautiful. Why they are only making 5 is beyond me. I think they missed an opportunity by not making more for sure.
Note the tonerite in the background in the top photo! |

My guess is that these will be at a price point where there is a lot of market competition, including single luthier guitars. So keeping the production number low would make sense. The mid-upper range of the classical guitar market is pretty saturated with some great bargains these days.

I tell you what folks, I've been extremely impressed with the Cordoba Master Series guitars coming out of the Oxnard, California shop. Keep mind this is a small group of four talented builders who were trained extensively by Kenny Hill (and that's a very good thing...). The guitars they're building are very, very similar to the Kenny Hill Master Series guitars about ten years ago. These have a PU finish except for the Esteso, which is nitro. The KH Master Series guitars were french polish. My point is these are excellent builders with an impressive training background.
As for the 20th Anniversary Hauser, very nice and it's interesting how the tinkered with the bracing...give it a bit more of a Torres vibe. I'm not sure I care for the Rosette...a bit too much red for me, but it's definitely unique and nicely executed. Very, very impressive. |

Certainly a fantastic guitar, but as Tavi demonstrates, it's all how you play it....beautiful stuff.
