Default G. K. Hannabach guitars

I may have a good line on a G. K. Hannabach classical guitar from the 70s. Does anyone know anything about these? I am not having much luck on the internet I am afraid.

Your post has led to an interesting look into guitar history!

I found this article a Hannabach that might be the maker of the guitar you're considering.

Here is the oral history video mentioned in the above article.

And finally, a NAMM collection video about the general history of the area where many luthiers setttled after WWII.

EDIT:

One more article about the town of Bubenreuth.

I once owned a Gerold Karl Hannabach from the mid 1980s. They are nice guitars--well built, strong tone, good playability. I wouldn't go much more than $1750-$2K tops for a well-preserved example of his work from the 70s.

Thank you both for your insights! I took the leap on the guitar and it is shipping to me as I type this. I shall post a pic and a tone report in due course : )

I'll be interested to hear how you like the Hannabach. Never seen one myself.
