Default Sixto Rodriguez tribute: I'm Gonna Live Till I Die

I was very sad to hear of Sixto's passing. I was fortunate to see him in concert
and he was incredible. Watch the Oscar Winning documentary about him called
"Searching For Sugar Man". Incredible story. This is my cover of the Sixto
Rodriguez rearranged version of this classic song.
When I heard his version it inspired me to give it a try.
Written by Al Hoffman and originally recorded by Frank Sinatra.

That was a nice tribute to Rodriguez, and he has a great story. It really highlights how greedy, dishonest, and corrupted the majority of the music industry is/was. From what I understand, he sold more records than Elvis in South Africa and was kind of a household name there. He only received anything for all those sales in 2022, a year before his death, and that was after he sued the record company and settled out of court.

Anyway, he was great and had a cool street poet vibe. Thanks for sharing.

A beautiful tribute to Sixto…and a sweet performance. Great vocal.
