My frets
My guitar is 28 years old. Action and break angle are fine. Tone is outstanding, however I’m finding some of the fretting requires a bit more attention than it used too. The guitar has never had any work done to it other than a bone saddle and pins replaced about six or seven years ago. Take a peek at my frets (2nd, 8th,and 12th...do they look ok? What do new or crowned frets look like? Thanks for your opinions.

The pics aren't the greatest but the frets do look a little flat. You never had that fret dressed before? 20 years is a pretty long run. It might be time for a refret or at least a dressing. A guitar tech would need to see it in person to say for sure. But ideally you would have a nice rounded shape to the fret with the peak of the curve in the middle of the fret. Is it a Gibson? Many of those are known as 'fretless wonders' typically on their electric guitars.

Yep, nearly fat across. Crowning might do it, but I'd go f0r a refret.

Thank you boys...it’s a guild. I think they are a bit flat, but I’ve got nothing to compare them to. I’ll see a luthier when it’s safe

Have you compared your flat frets, the frets closest to the nut, to frets close to the neck body joint?

Your going to struggle to have those frets levelled and crowned, way too low.
Just mentally prepare yourself as I am Pretty confident the luhtier/guitar tech is going to tell you it needs a refret Steve
