Is it natural wood or lacquered finish? Either way....sand down to wood fibre if either......steam ding area until it's proud of adjacent area. Sand down so it's level with adjacent area and then colour with matched colour wood oil/colourant. Replace lacquer. Or just cover the ding with a sticker of your choice.
