I saw your name pop up on the forum page earlier today. I burn wood in the winter to heat my home and go through about 3-4 cords each winter, so when I saw your name, ChordWood, I thought it was great. Obviously, I got it right away.

Welcome to AGF!

Default Great Wood

Great to see you here Glenn!

When I heard a new supplier of premium Honduran Mahogany for necks had opened and was in striking distance by car I drove out the next day. I had a great talk with Glen and he told me the history of this wonderful wood.

Here are a couple pieces I bought. The first is 6' x 12" x 4". It's enough for 18 neck blanks as I cut them;

He also had some dark and very dense wood that I'll save for some special guitar projects;

This wood just sparkles when wet!:

Just wanted to put it out there if you're looking for hard to find premium mahogany. Great guy, great wood!

Mark
