Headstock:

Steve also asked if I wanted the edges to be more rounded like a Strat or more squared off like a Tele. I told him, rounded, sexy and ergonomically comfortable. Hopefully will see some shots soon.

Sorry it's not that exciting! It took a while for all the parts to come in. I'm not sure if they all are, actually. Specifically we may be waiting on the Piezo parts. Duncan made a set of calibrated pickups for me because they don't make a full set in black. And we've been discussing various switching options. I'd rather not rush and make sure we have it set up exactly as I would like. Hopefully it will be complete within a couple of weeks. More so, hopefully it will have been worth the wait!

Hey all, I know this has been a very sleepy and unexciting thread, but here's the final product:

First, under the hood:

Paradise By The (glow-in-the-dark) Fretboard Lights:

A frontal view

Her backside

Her soft and sultry neck

Bridge Over Troubled Wiring

I have a couple of others showing the arm contour and grain, but these are pretty good shots. Steve wants to hang onto her for a couple of more days to let her settle in with the strings on, and then he'll ship. I still have no idea of the exacts wiring scheme, but Steve said he'll put a chart together to show me all of the available tones. I should have her in hand by Friday or so. Pretty excited!!

Thanks Terrapin. Waiting to hear what Steve thinks of the overall sound. Also hoping he will do a demo of it. I don't know that he does it for each guitar he builds, or just some that he want's to highlight, so we'll see.

Looking great bud! That's a gorgeous looking grain you have going there.

Thanks Red Eye. I asked Steve if he liked the sound and if he'd be recording a demo (he's a very good player). His reply:

"Im really happy with it. As suspected, it has amazing sustain. Its pretty loud unplugged which is always a good sign. You'll love the weight and especially the feel of the neck. I love the JB JR bridge pickup, which is strange because I HATE the regular full size JB. The mid pickup is really nice as well. The piezo blends great with all positions, but really stands out with the neck. I had it running with a Y cable last night. I had this really heavy long decay reverb sound for the electric and just bare AC and it was killer. I had every intention of doing a demo last night but just got sidetracked playing the thing."

Should be exactly what I'm looking for. If all goes well, there will be a number of electrics for sale soon!
