I will throw in my .02....

- As mentioned earlier, Tesla's 5 Man Acoustic Jam
- Beck... Most of his albums.....seriously!
- Alison Krauss, also with Union Station, doesn't really matter which album
- Ray LaMontagne's Trouble
- Nickel Creek's debut album is rediculous!
- Patty Griffin, again the album is up to you
- As already posted many times, Dave Matthews with Tim Reynolds, as well as Under the Table and Dreaming (album still blows me away!)
- Any and all Lyle Lovett
- As already mentioned, Neal Young

Just a few that come to mind.

No one has mentioned Barenberg, Meyer and Douglas: "Skip, Hop and Wobble". What an amazing album.

I bought my first issue of Acoustic Guitar almost 20 yrs ago. In the first issue I received they reviewed three singer/songwriters. I bought albums from all three and they still get playing time:

Shawn Colvin Steady On (debut album) 1989
Mary Chapin Carpenter Come On Come On (4th album) 1992
David Wilcox How Did You Find Me Here? (2nd album) 1989

Wow, just looking these up again made me realize how many fantastic songs are crammed into these three albums. Practically a Greatest Hits album for each one.

I see that a few people have mentioned Days of the New but my favorite stuff is actually when Travis Meeks went out on his own so if you like the Days of the New check out his solo acoustic album ... I believe it's called "Live - Bootleg" ... it's great!

Cheers!

+1 to that post! The first CSN album is right there too in terms of quality. Some of David Crosby's solo stuff, or his albums with Graham Nash are prety obscure, but nice too, especially if you enjoy open tunings.
