Default Mercury Blues

I was jamming with some friends and thought that some of you might like this one. I'm playing the acoustic slide using my Taylor GS Mini. These things are really great for slide. There's a few small clunkers but it was just a jam and was a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it!

Very nice cover! A lot of folks don't realize that it was written in the late '40's and was originally named "Mercury Boogie", which I like even better.

Excellent - love that tune!

I'd never heard it until Lindley covered it on El-Rayo-x in about 80 or so.

Loved it, Willie! Great job. You guys sound good… everybody's clunkers should sound like that!

Thanks Todd. I want to say that the first time I heard this was Steve Miller's version in the early to mid 70's. It's a great song and can be done in so many different styles.

Thanks Kerbie! You know in a jam situation it's usually the guy who actually knows the song that has the clunkers because while you are busy playing & singing the song, you're also trying to show the other players what you're doing, where you're going next, who's taking the break and trying to guide everybody towards a smooth ending.

You may want a mercury, but listening to you play this fantastic song makes me want a gs mini! You are the real deal.
