Cool thread. Nice to see some promotion for members' albums. A couple of years ago (wow, time flies) I released my first EP. It's called "Heart on Sleeve". It's a 6-song EP; all songs written and performed by me with a bit of instrumental assistance by my producer and co-producer. I also co-produced. They were 3 of the most fun (and sleepless) days of my life and I'm pretty proud of the outcome. All of my guitar tracks were recorded with my B-2 custom by Burlington Guitars. See below for links. It's also on Spotify and a couple of other streaming radio services. The songs are what I consider to be categorized as "acoustic pop". Hope you dig!

Default Elk Creek's debut album "Greenfield Project"

You can stream the album at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SB7zs...Xi-xdtLYM-t2ee

of if you'd like to support us, you can purchase through Itunes, Amazon....

It is difficult, with a band that features harmonica so prominently, to not make comparisons to Blues Traveler or Neil Young - and, sure, there is some of that - but Elk Creek has managed to carve out a sound all their own that has a hint of latter-day hippie jam band balanced with a rich singer-songwriter tradition.

Not to slight the other members of Elk Creek, but, for me, the majesty of the music starts with the guitar work of Brad Smith. A graduate of UC's College-Conservatory of Music, Smith can make the guitar absolutely bend to his will and can create mind-blowing soundscapes that you wouldn't think possible with an acoustic guitar. - Jim Nolan

Hi,

Here is a link to my first solo album - "Moments on the Journey". The next album - my guitar arrangements of contemporary hymns (I'm also a Catholic church organist and so chose hymns that are familiar to the parish) - will be released shortly. I would classify my pieces as new-age fingerstyle. This album was done with a computer mic, and so the sound is not as clean as what I was able to achieve with the 2nd album, which was done using an M-Audio interface. If anyone gives a listen and likes the samples, please let me know. I'd love to hear from you. I should be posting a link to the next album within a few days.

Thanks,
Keith

Default My Music

A little history,
I have played in a lot of good bands in the past, funk, rock, country, even went solo to make ends meet, never made any money playing bars and colleges, took a daytime job to support my family, and played on weekends. I have never had the time to practice, I wish I could afford time for that. I was away from playing live for years. Now, I have a little more time and hope to get back to the guitar.

In 2001 I picked up a cheap yamaha classical at a garage sale, fixed it and fooled around in a blind way, no lessons, at the beach watching sunsets in the summers, and under the influence.
In 2002, a friend of mine who was signed with Sony in Japan as a new age pianist, heard some of my melodies, and he insisted I record them. In 2003, my first CD "Spirits in the Sky" was ready, we uploaded at MP3.com at the time which was the main online site run by Universal. For 2 months I was not even on the chart of 1000 songs, then finally, came the happiest moment in my life, I was 987...wow!!! from there the cd went to the top with all songs from it in the top 15, also 4th highest selling.
Unfortunately, Universal got rid of all the independents, so we all went elsewhere where my success continued.

At soundclick, I met a lot of artists from all over the world, and we did a lot of collaborations, then I did my second CD "Eklektika" which was like my previous, but used percussion on the second, all multi-genre but very original, where each song takes a dominant genre, but threaded with my own style, all instruments played by me.

I had them both at all the stores including itunes, but one has to promote, I had no time with daytime job and family, so sales were not that great. I yanked them out. Now they can be purchased at my main music site:

Number 5 for me. "If I Had and Angel". As a song writer I went a lot of different directions on this one. A few hard right turns.

Hi,
Just a note re my first album of fingerstyle guitar instrumentals 'The Alder Tree's Year'. Had airplay in Ireland, UK, France, USA and Australia. Got listed in Minor 7th's 'Short Cuts'. Must be getting something right, nice to know after 50+ years playing.
