Default I had a moment

the other night at church I got in late and it was packed so I sat in the back and my view of front was blocked so I could only see half of stage and the worship leader was playing his D40 and after a few minutes of the band going I noticed how clear and bright the d40 was sounding... it was cutting thru everyone so well I thought maybe they had just turned his volume up since he was leading... hadn't ever heard any dred sound that clear in a band ever before... til some of the people in front of me sat down and i noticed on the other side of the stage i couldn't see had another acoustic player with his gs or ga6 and THAT was what I was hearing so bright and clear cutting thru the mix, it was amazing, i own a 616 but haven't been able to play it in a band setting yet and for those who haven't experienced a 600 series in a band from what I saw the other night it is impressive what sound that guitar can make with other instruments present!

There's a reason so many folks use Taylors in a worship group! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the listening experience.

Which one of your Taylors do you use? Or do you change depending upon the week or song?

Good question.......

I normally use my "Maranatha" Jumbo...2009 BTO....

There are a few songs that I take my 815 along and lower it down a whole step...DGCFAD and just change guitars in the middle of the set..

I use the 12 string (855) from time to time, but sparingly...it's kinda one of those... ahh...keep it fresh and it will always be fresh things.

And once in a while, I'll use my wife's 412 LTD...The short scale makes playing F and B flat barre chords easier due to my on going joint swelling of my left index finger.
