Default Suggestion for Sight reading / scales book?

Hi, I have a buddy who needs to learn how to sightread and scales.

He is experienced guitarist who prefers playing rock, metal, etc.

I need a recommendation for a guitar book that teaches sight reading through scales.

Thanks!!!

Not sure what's meant by "sight reading through scales" but there is a bucket load of YouTube free online tutorials regarding all manner of guitar related topics and that's where I would be sending your friend.

Good luck!

I was looking for a guitar book which contained instruction for sight reading and includes transcriptions of scales.

Thanks for your suggestion! I will take a look but I will keep looking for the book.

In standard notation (plus fretting indications) for example:
