Default NGD - why I prefer to buy used these days...

If you're patient and careful, the good deals for excellent guitars are out there, and I found one here recently. '15 AmStd Strat, 100% dead mint, factory-fresh, huge discount from new pricing. One of the best tops I've ever seen on a Sienna Burst Strat - is it a one-piece, because I can't find a seam front or back? 7.25 pounds. Great price, and a solid, no-BS seller. Yeah.

Addendum - it's actually a THREE-piece body! All I had to do was to look at the end grain at the base of the body - it's very darkly stained down there so it's hard to see, but it's there. No biggie. I will say that they did a nice job of matching these pieces together - at least compared to many I see.

A friend of mine had the same Stratocaster in Sienna Burst, although I'm not sure whether the body was alder or ash.

Beautiful guitar.

Congrats on a very nice score.

That is a real beauty!!

I LOVE Fender Strats.

As a matter of fact, I've picked up 5 used strats in the last 2 months.

4 - 90's Fender Strat Plus guitars
1 - '09 Fender '57 American Vintage Reissue.

I got AMAZING deals on all of them, and am now the proud owner of 12 Fender Strats.

My Stratocaster in Sea Foam Green with a maple board is really special, although my Telecaster seems to be the guitar I reach for first these days.

Default Nice

That's a beautiful Strat.
I had a sienna burst Deluxe Plus Strat from '88 or '89 that was shaded almost exactly like yours. I'm sorry I ever parted with it. It had that kinda weird roller bearing nut. The lace sensors were really nice in it too. Otherwise, I think the specs are very close to your guitar.
I think you made a nice score. Enjoy!
Now back to boxes....
