Default For Sale: 2013 Martin D-28 Authentic 1931 PRICE REDUCED

Hello all,

It is with great sadness that I am looking to sell this beautiful Martin D-28 Authentic 1931. However, I have too many guitars and I need to start to thin out my collection.

To say that this guitar is incredible, is a gross understatement. I purchased it brand new from Gruhn Guitars. It was hand picked from a selection of three identical model guitars. This particular guitar, in my opinion, had the most projection and balanced tone of the three. In fact, Mr. Gruhn himself still talks about this particular guitar when I visit. It is in excellent, undoubtedly, near mint condition. It has always been stored in a humidity and temperature controlled environment and I have always kept the humidity in the 45% to 55% range as recommended by Martin. There are no cracks or splits of any kind in the wood. The Madagascar rosewood back and sides have a beautiful straight grain and an incredible depth to the finish. The solid Adirondack spruce top is tight grained and blemish free.

As I am sure you know, this guitar has an elongated body. The neck contains 12-frets instead of the normal 14-frets. This elongated body creates more room inside the body of the guitar for the sound to resonate, which adds greater bass, and this guitar certainly does have a lot of bass! It absolutely rumbles! The 1 7/8" nut makes this guitar great for finger picking and it's also great for strumming too. Made with hide glue construction that was used during the era. This guitar also features an ebony truss rod which adds a lot to it's tone. The slotted headstock without the Martin logo on the front adds a lot to the vintage look of this guitar. Even the way the serial number, model and Martin logo on the inside are stamped in lieu of the modern, more recent, laser engraved look currently being used.

You will not be disappointed with this guitar. It is truly an incredible piece.

If you are as passionate about what you play, you will know that no question is too insignificant. Please do not hesitate asking me any questions. Guitar retails for $8,999.00

I have reduced the selling price to $4,100 shipped to the lower 48. If you want to utilize PayPal, I will split the PayPal fee with you.

Guitar is located in Pittsburgh, PA

Please don't hesitate to ask questions. This is an amazing guitar.

This model is the best sounding Martin built in the last 70 years or so. Just my opinion of course. Good luck with your sale!

I love Martin 12-fret dreads ... used to own the "almost" version of this (D28VS), and loved it and my hog D18VS. You need to sell this VERY fast.

Awesome photos. If they don't sell the guitar, not sure what will. (Oh! Maybe that awesome 12-fret Martin dread rumble:-) Good luck with the sale.

Wow! Beautiful guitar. Those 12 fret authentics are excellent and I've been dreaming about owning one.
