Default Base lines on looper. Tips needed.

I just got the AC 33 amp and it has a built in looper - i'd like to know any tips that would help me put a bsse line down as my first efforts sound quite rubbish.

I can work out what key a tune is in and know my major scale / pentatonic scales.

Thanks. Neil.

Roots of the chords.
For more variety, roots and 5ths.
For still more, some lines using 1-3-5 of the chord, maybe with 2 or 6 or b7 in passing.
And keep it rhythmic.

Listen to the kind of music you want to make, and check what the bass lines do - that's the real answer!
