Default Played my first benefit gig today.

Played at a benefit for hospice today. Had a great time. My friend Rob and his band, Soul to Soul played a nice mix of classic rock tunes. I played 2 pieces by Bach on my Cordoba C9, and a couple of pieces by Steve Hacket. Then, Rob and I played a few songs together, and I even sang while playing guitar for the first time in public. We performed, Old Man/Neil Young, Even in the Quietest Moments/Supertramp, and Pigs on the Wing / Pink Floyd with me on vocals. Rob played my L-03 Custom so it was a 100% Larrivee duo set. I used the iRig Acoustic Stage mic and everyone said the guitars sounded great. We were plugged directly into the PA mixer.

Great fun and looking forward to doing this public performance thing more in the future.

A couple of photos... Sorry, but I don't think any video was taken. If I find out differently, and, I approve of it, I will post it.

Rob's daughter, Natalie playing the Ukulele. She has a beautiful voice.

The benefit raised about $3,500 for the local hospice. Good job everyone!

Good for you !~!~!

I am mostly retired, gigged forever, but I don't say no to requests for charity events or benefits.

You need some videos, great pix but you can't "hear" them.........

I can't think of a better place to offer up your work for others! The hospice organizations around the country do wonderful and much needed work!

Thank you! And very nice photos!

I really like your set list. I sure would like to hear them all but if you could share Pigs on the Wing with us that'd be awesome!

Congratulations
Curtis

Congratulations on what sounds to have been a very successful gig. I love playing benefits. There's nothing like combining some altruism with your favorite hobby.
