An oldie, but a goody.

My favorite part is still 1:23-1:27

Someone very talented and anonymous recorded themselves playing this concerto "poorly" to one of those play along with the orchestra recordings. They then synced the recording to a preexisting video. Turns out the famous guitar "shreds" videos are not a new idea. Musicians have always had a sense of humor. For example, here is an excerpt from a Heifetz master class:

Actually, Perlman speaks highly of Heifetz as being most influential to modern violin playing. I'd venture to guess that Perlman himself would find this video humorous.

Thanks for the explanation. That was my first guess, but I then I thought maybe someone had just edited an existing recording somehow.

It clearly took a lot of skill to play that, but I'm still trying to get over the feeling that my ears and brain are bleeding.

You know the old saying about having to explain a joke and it no longer being funny. It is SUPPOSED to be bad. That is what makes it funny. Kind of like the times you might have heard someone sing very bad and it makes you laugh. Well, a violin. The great Itzhak Perlman...

Same idea.

That's okay. My wife just gave me strange looks when I used to laugh at the show Jackass...lol
