Could start the debate will the non truss rod CF guitar survive? Both Emerald and Rainsong have made the switch. I own one of each and can see the advantages of either way. I think for the wood convert the truss rod may be something to give them comfort.

Since the N1 neck is perfect for my old hands, and Rainsong is going to the bulkier version, it appears that I have purchased my last Rainsong guitar.

I believe Emerald always had truss rods available as an option and they didn't have to redesign their necks to accommodate TRs. With bolt-on necks, converting to TRs shouldn't have been too difficult for RainSong. However, for CA and Blackbird, it would seem to be a very big deal. Is there any evidence that CA or Blackbird is being impacted by the lack of truss rods? I suspect that TRs will not be offered by either any time soon.

Those of you with Rainsong 12 strings should easily see their value appreciate now. They are well known, quality, and won't change structurally like wood.

Those of you who were putting off ordering a 12 string from Emerald should move quickly before your wait time grows very uncomfortable! Get them while you can!
..this is where you lost me. I mean what does Emerald have to do with any of this? Are you thinking that folks who can't find a Rainsong 12 will simply order an Emerald? I wouldn't bet on that.

I am sick to death of filling humidifiers every week. My next 12-string is going to be carbon fiber. (just need to sell a couple wooden ones first)

If a Rainsong is unavailable, I'll order one from another manufacturer. Substitution economics at work.

I dream of winning the lottery so I could fund N2-12 and NS-12 molds...

Ok folks, I had a long chat with Ashvin this morning about this and I think he should have come clean with the real reason why 12-String and N1 neck guitars have been put on hold, it's because he needs the necks for the new DN1000 project.

Been playing mine all week and it I awesome!

If Rainsong has stopped producing 12 strings, CA and Blackbird do not have them, who else other than Emerald? That's what Emerald has to do with this. There simply is no other option at the moment.

Am I wrong?

Now that's a handful! Lol. We can laugh at this but kind of shows the genius of Emerald. They really made one that worked.

From a business perspective spending valuable resources on double neck guitars is less than genius, but it is refreshing to see guys like Alistar throw financial caution to the wind so they can create these things.

I actually had similar thoughts as to the ultimate profitability of a Doubleneck or his new Harp guitar. But there may be more genius here than meets the rational business eye. It puts him in a class by himself, from a maker to an artist creator. Not sure he could do it any other way but in the end, who will be more successful GM, Honda or Tesla? Makes life interesting.

Rainsong is a company that has made it past the (inventor, creator) phase, Decker has left in place a group that is maturing the company into a guitar mainstay. Its a business that makes quality products and I think carefully innovates.

Its hard to imagine Emerald without Alistair they are one in the same. It too early, and Alistair is too young to see if Emerald becomes a carbon "Gibson".

realizing the satire after viewing the picture took my GAS away faster than chasing down 5,000mg of Prilosec with a gallon of Mylanta.

You know, the more I look at that photo the more I'm thinking about who I could get to build one double neck out of two Rainsong Jumbo's for me.
