Yep, he's like that.

He gave me several sets of those strings, too. I haven't put them on yet.

not sure what strings were stock on it but they sounded better to me, a bit brighter.i would think 80/20 strings would be better for this model guitar.
Probably Elixir 80/20's. Though I thought I read somewhere that they were Elixir PB's?

I just won a set of ultra-light DR "Mellow Yellow" coated strings . . might have to try those . . does yellow go good with wine?

i do notice a differnce in tone but i did put differnt strings on it right when i shaved the saddle. so i cant really tell you if shaving the saddle changed any tone at all but i wouldnt think it would. dan at acoustic pro gave me 3 sets of strings and a shirt and some pics real nice guy. the strings are curt mangan 12-54 meduim light pb. i think the tone is a bit mellower which for this guitar is not the best choice since it seems to be a bit bass heavy.not sure what strings were stock on it but they sounded better to me, a bit brighter.i would think 80/20 strings would be better for this model guitar.
My Cargo is a bit too warm for my tastes too. I agree that 80/20's would be a good match for this guitar. I need to get some, all I have is D'Addario lights.

Just to chime in...the Cargo does come with Elixir Nanoweb PB lights. I changed over to Nanoweb 80/20 Mediums and the guitar sounds great now.

How different does the guitar? Did the 80/20's brighten it up?
