V-69/Revelation stereo recording test....
Okay guys, the Revelation mic was delivered today !!! Couldn't wait to try it so here's a stereo sound clip of the MXL V-69 and Revelation recording a D-35.....

Yep, the Revelation is officially the best sounding mic I have. I won't have time till this weekend to make any music though....just really busy, I was lucky to get this recording done....considering there's no EQ on this recording I'm very impressed. I do have it running thru the ART compressor and pre-amp, which only helps it. but still, it's basically a raw recording. Sounds great to me.
For those of you who don't recognize the tune, it's an old song from the 70's called "4+20" by Stephen Stills. It uses an open tuning...EBEEBE.

After about a 1,000 sound checks to work the bugs out of my system, I ended up with this vocal test of the Revelation. It's the words to the above "4+20" song.
