Love mine as well! I know this sounds like an odd statement since the Felix is complex, but it has completely simplified my rig. I don't love the fact that the inputs are on the back but that's my only minor criticism. Great device!

Just bought one of these to improve and simplify my rig. It will replace 2 EQ pedals, a preamp and an LS-2 blender pedal... AND give me more functionality.

Any other thoughts on this, now that you've had it for a while.

We've been very impressed indeed and we're proud to represent the entire range of Grace acoustic instrument pre-amps here in the UK!

I finally used mine for a full gig and absolutely love it. Completely solidified and simplified my rig. I want the tone dexter now as well but the Felix is so good that I will find a way to use both.

Good move. Your prior pedalboard confused the heck out of me.

Grace Designs is based in my hometown of Lyons Colorado, just north of Boulder. So when it came to buying a preamp, I guess the Alix (Felix's younger brother) was a must. I got to pick it up at the factory and met one of the owners - nice guy. Plus my guitar teacher is featured in their video. Extremely well made and transparent equipment!

I bid on one on Ebay, hoping to simplify my rig a while back. I think I could make a Felix work with my current instruments—right now, I'm running my mandolin and banjo into a Tone Bone PZ Pre with them sharing the EQ on it, and it's fine.

I suspect that the Felix vs the ToneDexter is going to come down to whether you want the "pickup" sound on some instruments vs the "mic" sound, you know?

Spent about an hour with my new Felix today, mixing a K&K and Black Angel mag. Freakin' amazing. Nuff said.

If I get the tonedexter, I will use both. Probably just run into the tone dexter first and then to the Felix. The Felix is too amazing to replace. That's why it would be nice if there was a Tonedexter that just had the wave map feature in a small foot print, almost just like an effect pedal size.

There is one peculiar thing about Felix, that's the input preamp gain levels:
CH1: 3 - 44 db (line input, on low jumper)
CH2: -1.5 - 36.5 db

That doesn't seem like a lot, but it's enough such that with the two passive pickups I'm mixing have vastly different gain levels (I checked them both ways). The Ch1 gain is usually set around 9-10 o'clock, and Ch2 is often around 3 o'clock to get roughly even signal strength. Then I use the mix dial to fine tune.
