yes, also check out the focusrite scarlett products for the audio interface. at some time or other you may want to upgrade the mic. that's your call.

I think so, but you may have to create an aggregate device on your Mac first (you do this under the Mac OS) because the Snowball is a USB mic and would not be fed through the external interface.
