Default Nice gig bag for Nick Lucas style build?

Hi All,

I’m looking for a quality gig bag that will be a good fit for my new (to me) Walker Petty Creek 13 fret… Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ian

Gator Pro Go series is the best I've tried. The Mono M80 is second. I own both.

I agree the Mono 80 is a good bag. Have one for my PJ. I also like the Reunion Blues Continental bags a lot. Have one for dreads and one for 00-OM size guitars. Used that one today to take my H13 to play with a friend near Baltimore today.

I looked long and hard for a gig bag for my Fairbanks Nick Lucas…no luck. It has very unique dimensions. So be sure to double check the specs of potential gig bags. Hope you have better luck than I did.

38.5” total length
19.25” Body length
8.5” waist
10.25” upper bout
14.75” lower bout
4.25” depth at upper bout
4.5” depth at lower bout

Don't know your model exactly, but from I casually know about the Nick Lucas model it's sort of a deep body 00.

My Seagull Folk is also a sort of deep body 00 and I use the Godin TRIC case they sell for it. TRIC cases are gig bag like in that they have backpack straps and light weight, but use rigid Styrofoam-like structure that's highly protractive.

I have several of Blue Heron cases that I like a lot:

Chances are that he has the measurements for a Nick Lucas style. If not, you can supply them and he will make one to fit.

I had a Halcyon NL-00 that came with a TRIC case. I thought that was a great lightweight case and it kept the humidity level well when I used an Oasis in-case humidifier.
